12 pm Documentary: Banned Together: The Fight Against Censorship (90 min)
Visionary teenagers, public protests, threats, criminal charges, and drama-filled school board meetings: this is the explosive world of BANNED TOGETHER, the first feature documentary about fighting book bans and censorship in the U.S. This award-winning doc presented with the Vaughn Library and Bay Area Film Society. (Also showing Friday, June 6 at 7 p.m.)
1-4 pm Wear Your Mood: Screen Prints at Penny Print Studio
Penny Print Studio will be screen printing original art with Ban the Fascists, Save the Books on your tees. $10 fee. One (1) t-shirt per customer. Penny Print will also have T-shirts available for sale for screen printing or get your Honest Dog Books tee and print it on the back.
2-3:15 pm Polka on Purpose w/ Jan Lee, Tom Mitchell, Jane Aleckson
Polkas & good time music as well as the annual sing-along of our original banned books anthem, “When Will This Madness End?”
3:30-5:15 pm Molly Otis & the Danger Band
Singer, songwriter, fiddle, mandolin, guitar player, and regional favorite Molly Otis fronts this country, blues band.
5:30-7:30 pm Spring Fed
Spring Fed is a cooperation of the chillest musicians on the shores of Lake Superior. Funk, Reggae, Blues.
