Polyfaces will be screened in partnership with Wisconsin Farmers Union
BAFS is proud to work as a partner to screen the documentary “Polyfaces” on Thursday, April 20th at 7 pm with the Ashland/Bayfield Chapter of the Wisconsin Farmers Union.
The Bay Area Film Society was founded in the winter of 1997 by a small group of film lovers desperate for more films. We kicked off with The Full Monty at the local historical society on a snowy February night, not knowing if anyone would show. We sold out. We’ve been showing films ever since.

The Bay Area Film Society is proud to announce that our next film, Butterfly in the Sky, will be screened in partnership with the Friends of the Vaughn Library in promotion of the newly formed Ashland Adult Literacy group.
We are honored to be @chequamegonfoodcoop Round For Partners March recipient. We have a lovely swag basket drawing on display, sign up and try to win a BAFS T-shirt, BAFS winter beanie, two BAFS stickers, two free tickets to a BAFS film, two @southshorebrewery pint glasses with the beer to fill them. The drawing will be on March 31st. We have membership forms available and your membership would last a year from the date purchased so it’s never too late in the season.
Welcome to the new and improved website for the Bay Area Film Society! We will have more content, timely calendar updates for upcoming films, and ecommerce capabilities.
Bringing great and unique cinema to the Chequamegon Bay Area since 1997.
