Welcome to the new and improved website for the Bay Area Film Society! We will have more content, timely calendar updates for upcoming films, and ecommerce capabilities.

We’ve had a wonderful 25th-anniversary season so far, starting things off with a sold-out screening of Nosferatu in October and continuing this year with a series of wonderful films.  Most recently, we showed Triangle of Sadness, nominated for the three academy awards including Best Picture.  Our next two films are also Oscar nominees. Living earned nominations for Best Actor and Best Adapted Screenplay and Aftersun also received a Best Actor nomination.

This website is the culmination of our efforts to expand both our infrastructure and our outreach here at BAFS. In addition to now being able to take digital payments like Venmo at our screenings, you’ll be able to pay for memberships and buy tickets ahead of time on the site. We’ve also got new BAFS merchandise: beanies, t-shirts, sweatshirts, keychains, and soon caps–all for you to buy and show your support for bringing quality cinema to our Bay area community.

We’ll be updating this site from time to time, informing you of our upcoming events and maybe even blogging an essay or two from the members of our board. We’ll also be asking for your thoughts and even providing polls as to what you’d next like to see for future screenings.

None of this would be possible without you, our audience, our members, and our sponsors. We’re ready to give back however we can.
